IF YOU CONFIRM:

The navigation system is inoperative and the display shows "Disc Error", or "DVD-ROM version is not correct"

NOTE:

This incident, if it occurs, may be intermittent.

ACTION:

Replace the navigation control unit.

^ Order the replacement unit through the Navigation Exchange Program (via Clarion). Call (800) 347-8933 or Fax the order to (310) 217-4354 or

(310) 217 - 4380.

^ When ordering the replacement unit, you need to give Clarion the navigation control unit's part number. All Applied Vehicles except M45 and

Q45; the part number will begin with 25915-xxxxx.

For M45 and Q45 only; the part number will begin with 28330-xxxxx.

^ For navigation control unit replacement information, refer to section AV in the appropriate Service Manual

DVD Map Disc Color, Version, and Part Number Chart

NOTE:

^ Series 6.x and series 7.x map discs are not interchangeable.

^ Versions 6.2 and 7.1 are both green color don't mix them.

^ Series 6.x discs are interchangeable within the series (6.1, 6.2, 6.3 etc.).

^ Series 7.x discs are interchangeable within the series (7.0, 7.1, etc.).

^ Map discs that are later (newer versions) in the series will have additional map updates.

SERVICE INFORMATION

Two methods are used to update/upgrade Navigation Map Data:

1. The customer goes to www.infinitinavigation.com and is mailed update disc(s) and installs data.

OR

2. The dealership is mailed update disc(s) and the customer must visit the dealership to have data installed.

Use the matrix to determine which method is utilized for each Applied Vehicle.
