Diagnosis Procedure
1.INSPECTION START
1. Turn ignition switch ON.
2. Erase DTC.
3. Perform DTC Confirmation Procedure.
See See: P Code Charts/P0607.
4. Check DTC.
Is the DTC P0607 displayed again?
YES - GO TO 2.
NO - INSPECTION END
2.REPLACE ECM
1. Replace ECM.
2. Go to See: Powertrain Management/Computers and Control Systems/Testing and Inspection/Programming and Relearning/Additional Service
When Replacing Control Unit/Special Repair Requirement.

P0615 STARTER RELAY
Description
TCM prohibits cranking other than at "P" or "N" position.
CONSULT-III Reference Value in Data Monitor Mode
On Board Diagnosis Logic
- This is not an OBD-II self-diagnostic item.
- Diagnostic trouble code "P0615" with CONSULT-III or 14th judgment flicker without CONSULT-III is detected when starter relay is
switched ON other than at "P" or "N" position. (Or when switched OFF at "P" or "N" position).
Possible Cause
- Harness or connectors
(Starter relay and TCM circuit is open or shorted.)
- Starter relay circuit
DTC Confirmation Procedure
NOTE:
If "DTC Confirmation Procedure" has been previously performed, always turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds before
performing the next test.
After the repair, perform the following procedure to confirm the malfunction is eliminated.
WITH CONSULT-III
1. Shift the selector lever to "P" or "N" position.
2. Turn ignition switch ON and wait for at least 2 consecutive seconds.
3. Select "SELF-DIAG RESULTS" in "TRANSMISSION".
4. If DTC is detected, go to See: P Code Charts/P0615/5AT RE5R05A.
