1. Turn ignition switch ON.
2. Select "DATA MONITOR" in "TRANSMISSION".
3. Depress accelerator pedal and read out the value of "ACCELE POSI". See: P Code Charts/P1705/5AT RE5R05A.
4. Select "SELF-DIAG RESULTS" mode for "TRANSMISSION" with CONSULT-III. See: Powertrain Management/Transmission Control
Systems/Testing and Inspection/Scan Tool Testing and Procedures/5AT RE5R05A/Trouble Diagnosis/CONSULT-III Function

OK or NG
OK - GO TO 4.
NG - GO TO 3.
3.CHECK DTC WITH ECM

1. Turn ignition switch ON.

OK - GO TO 4.

5.CHECK TCM POWER SUPPLY AND GROUND CIRCUIT
Check TCM power supply and ground circuit. See: Diagrams/Electrical Diagrams/Transmission Control Systems/5AT RE5R05A/Main Power
Supply and Ground Circuit.
OK or NG
OK - GO TO 6.
NG - Repair or replace damaged parts.
6.DETECT MALFUNCTIONING ITEM
Check A/T assembly harness connector pin terminals for damage or loose connection with harness connector.
OK or NG
OK - Replace the control valve with TCM. See: Transmission and Drivetrain/Automatic Transmission/Transaxle/Valve Body/Service and Repair.
NG - Repair or replace damaged parts.

Description
Electric throttle control actuator consists of throttle control motor, accelerator pedal position sensor, throttle position sensor, etc. The actuator
transmits a signal to the ECM, and ECM transmits signals to TCM via CAN communication.

1.PRECONDITIONING
If "DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE" is previously conducted, always turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds before
performing the next test.

With CONSULT-III
1. Start the engine and let it idle for 5 seconds or more.
