A rattle or creak noise coming from the top area of a window frame near the B pillar (see Figure 1)
^ This noise may occur when driving over bumps or rough roads with the window rolled all the way up.
^ If the noise occurs it will stop when the window is rolled down.
^ This noise may occur at any of the four side window frames.
ACTIONS:
^ Apply Felt-Cloth Tape to the "rubber door glass run" (weatherstrip).
^ Apply "3M Silicone Lubricant Plus Wet Type" to the door glass run channel.

Submit a Primary Operation (PO) line claim using the claims coding shown.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
1. Remove the rubber door glass run (weatherstrip) from the window frame.
2. Turn the glass run upside down and inside out (see Figure 3).
3. Install a strip of felt cloth tape (approximately 12 inches long) in the door glass run as shown.
^ Use felt cloth tape-P/N 68329-13E00 - from the squeak and rattle repair Kit (J43980).
^ Start the felt-cloth tape as close as possible to the B pillar corner of the rubber door glass run (see Figure 3).

NOTE:
^ On 2004 models the factory has already applied 4 inches of felt-cloth tape to the front door glass run.
^ If the incident is on the front window(s) of a 2004 model apply an additional 8 inches of tape to the door glass run. The new tape should be
placed forward of the tape that is already there.
^ If the incident is on the rear window(s) apply the full length (12 inches) of the tape.
4. Reinstall the door glass run into the window frame.
5. Liberally spray "3M Silicone Lubricant Plus, Wet Type" onto a clean cloth.
NOTE:
^ Use 3M Silicone Lubricant Plus, Wet Type for this repair (3M Part Number 051135 - 08877).
^ Other silicone lubricants are not approved for this repair.
6. Apply 3M Silicone Lubricant Plus, Wet Type to the rubber door glass run as shown in Figure 7.
^ Make sure silicone is applied inside the door glass run channel by pushing the cloth into the channel.
^ The run channel is where the window glass slides into.
NOTE:

Spray additional 3M Silicone Lubricant Plus Wet Type onto the cloth as needed.
7. Confirm the incident is fixed.
