YES - INSPECTION END
NO - GO TO 5.
5.CHECK HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR 2-III
Check the voltage between ECM harness connector terminals under the following condition.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES - INSPECTION END
NO - GO TO 6.
6.REPLACE HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR 2
Replace malfunctioning heated oxygen sensor 2.
CAUTION:
- Discard any heated oxygen sensor which has been dropped from a height of more than 0.5 m (19.7 in) onto a hard surface such as a
concrete floor; use a new one.
- Before installing new oxygen sensor, clean exhaust system threads using Oxygen Sensor Thread
Cleaner [commercial service tool (J-43897-18 or J-43897-12)] and approved anti-seize lubricant
(commercial service tool).

2. Check that water is not inside connectors.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES - GO TO 3.
NO - Repair or replace harness connector.
3.CHECK EVAP CONTROL SYSTEM PRESSURE SENSOR POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT-I
1. Turn ignition switch ON.
2. Check the voltage between EVAP control system pressure sensor harness connector and ground.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES - GO TO 10.
NO - GO TO 4.
4.CHECK EVAP CONTROL SYSTEM PRESSURE SENSOR POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT-II
1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect ECM harness connector.
3. Check the continuity between EVAP control system pressure sensor harness connector and ECM harness connector.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES - GO TO 6.
NO - GO TO 5.
5.DETECT MALFUNCTIONING PART
Check the following.
- Harness connectors B171, B469
- Harness connectors B418, M66
- Harness for open between ECM and EVAP control system pressure sensor
- Repair open circuit.
6.CHECK SENSOR POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT
Check harness for short to power and short to ground, between the following terminals.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES - GO TO 7.
NO - Repair short to ground or short to power in harness or connectors.

1. Stop vehicle.
2. Drive vehicle in "D" position allowing it to shift from 1GR to 7GR and check shift timing and shift shock.

Diagnosis Procedure
1.CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT

Is the inspection result normal?
YES - Replace A/T assembly. See: Transmission and Drivetrain/Automatic Transmission/Transaxle/Service and Repair/Removal and
Replacement/7AT RE7R01A/Transmission Assembly/Exploded View.
NO - Repair or replace damaged parts.
5AT RE5R05A
P0735 5GR INCORRECT RATIO
Description
This malfunction is detected when the A/T does not shift into 5GR position as instructed by TCM. This is not only caused by electrical
malfunction (circuits open or shorted) but by mechanical malfunction such as control valve sticking, improper solenoid valve operation, etc.
On Board Diagnosis Logic
- This is an OBD-II self-diagnostic item.
- Diagnostic trouble code "P0735" with CONSULT-III or 22nd judgment flicker without CONSULT-III is detected when TCM detects any
inconsistency in the actual gear ratio.
Possible Cause
- Input clutch solenoid valve
- Front brake solenoid valve
- Direct clutch solenoid valve
- High and low reverse clutch solenoid valve
- Each clutch and brake
- Hydraulic control circuit
DTC Confirmation Procedure
CAUTION:
Always drive vehicle at a safe speed.
NOTE:
If "DTC Confirmation Procedure" has been previously performed, always turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds before
performing the next test.
After the repair, perform the following procedure to confirm the malfunction is eliminated.
WITH CONSULT-III
1. Start the engine and select "DATA MONITOR" in "TRANSMISSION".
2. Make sure that "ATF TEMP 1" is within the following range.
ATF TEMP 1: 20锟斤拷C (68锟斤拷F) - 140锟斤拷C (284锟斤拷F)
If out of range, drive vehicle to warm ATF or stop engine to cool ATF.
3. Select "5TH GR FNCTN P0735" in "DTC & SRT CONFIRMATION" in "TRANSMISSION".
4. Drive vehicle and maintain the following conditions.
MANU MODE SW: ON
GEAR: "5" position
ACCELE POSI: 0.6/8 or more
VEHICLE SPEED: 10 km/h (6 MPH) or more
ENGINE SPEED: INPUT SPEED - 50 rpm or more
INPUT SPEED: 300 rpm or more
5. Keep the current driving status for at least 5 consecutive seconds if CONSULT-III screen changes from "OUT OF CONDITION" to
"TESTING".
CAUTION:
If "TESTING" does not appear on CONSULT-III for a long time, select "SELF-DIAG RESULTS". In case a 1st trip DTC other than
"P0735" is shown, refer to " Road Test".

This solenoid valve responds to signals from the ECM. When the
ECM sends an ON signal, the coil in the solenoid valve is energized.
A plunger will then move to seal the canister vent. The ability to seal the vent is necessary for the on board diagnosis of other evaporative
emission control system components.
This solenoid valve is used only for diagnosis, and usually remains opened.
When the vent is closed, under normal purge conditions, the evaporative emission control system is depressurized and allows "EVAP
Control System" diagnosis.

DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE
1.PRECONDITIONING
If DTC Confirmation Procedure has been previously conducted, always perform the following procedure before conducting the next test.
1. Turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds.
2. Turn ignition switch ON.
3. Turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds.
TESTING CONDITION:
Before performing the following procedure, confirm battery voltage is more than 11 V at idle.
- GO TO 2.
2.PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE
1. Start engine and wait at least 8 seconds.
2. Check 1st trip DTC.
Is 1st trip DTC detected?
YES - Go to See: P Code Charts/P0447.
