Is "OUT OF CONDITION", "STOP VEHICLE" or "COMPLETED RESULT NG" displayed? / Is "P0729" detected?
YES-1 - "OUT OF CONDITION": Perform "Step 3" again.
YES-2 - "STOP VEHICLE": GO TO 4.
YES-3 - "COMPLETED RESULT NG": Go to See: P Code Charts/P0729.
YES-4 - "P0729" is detected: Go to See: P Code Charts/P0729.
NO - Check intermittent incident. See: Testing and Inspection/Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview/How to Perform Efficient Diagnosis
For an Electrical Incident.
4.CHECK SYMPTOM (PART 2)
With CONSULT-III
1. Stop vehicle.
2. Drive vehicle in "D" position allowing it to shift from 1GR to 7GR gear and check shift timing and shift shock.

Is the inspection result normal?
YES - Replace A/T assembly. See: Transmission and Drivetrain/Automatic Transmission/Transaxle/Service and Repair/Removal and
Replacement/7AT RE7R01A/Transmission Assembly/Exploded View.
NO - Repair or replace damaged parts.
P0730
P0730 INCORRECT GEAR RATIO
Description
- TCM detects a high-rpm state of the under drive sun gear.
- The number of revolutions of the under drive sun gear is calculated with the input speed sensor 1 and 2.

DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE
CAUTION:
- " See: P Code Charts/P0730" must be performed before starting "DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE".
- Never perform "DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE" before completing the repair, which may cause secondary malfunction.
- Always drive vehicle at a safe speed.
1.PRECONDITIONING
If "DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE" is previously conducted, always turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds before
performing the next test.
- GO TO 2.
2.CHECK DTC DETECTION
With CONSULT-III
1. Start the engine.
2. Select "Self Diagnostic Results" in "ENGINE".
3. Drive vehicle under the similar conditions to (1st trip) Freeze Frame Data for 10 minutes. Refer to the table below.
Hold the accelerator pedal as steady as possible.
4. Check 1st trip DTC.
With GST
Follow the procedure "With CONSULT-III".
Is 1st trip DTC detected?
YES - Go to See: P Code Charts/P0730.
